Beloved Disciple

Join us on the Spiritual Journey!

Welcome to the website of Beloved Disciple Community.

We are a member church of The Catholic Apostolic Church of Antioch.

*  We revere the beauty and richness of the Catholic tradition.
*  We celebrate the diversity of God's creation.
*  We encourage each person on his or her unique spiritual journey

Rev. Fr. Theodore Feldmann, pastor

* Beloved Disciple is a small community providing a weekly mass, spiritual direction and pastoral care.

* We believe that all people are called by God to abundant living through spiritual growth. We encourage you to think for yourself and trust the wisdom of your own heart.

* We welcome those who question. While we have a great reverence for traditional scripture, we are not afraid to question its meaning.  We welcome the wisdom of mystics and prophets of many traditions. All are encouraged to seek wisdom where it may be found

* As with all parishes of the Catholic Apostolic Church of Antioch, we revere the richness and beauty to be found in the Catholic tradition. We honor the seven sacraments and apostolic succession. You will find our mass familiar yet thoughtfully revised to emphasize inclusivity and a holistic, affirming spirituality.

* Beloved Disciple believes that all are made in the image of God. We welcome all people regardless of gender, race, sexual orientation or marital status.  Anyone is welcome to study for ordination without exception. Weddings and holy unions are offered to all who seek them.

*  In a busy and often frantic world, we believe that our liturgy provides a spiritual oasis.  It is contemplative.  There is time for meditation and silence.  We sing in a variety of styles from hymns and songs to Taize and Gregorian chants.  We hear readings from sacred scripture as well as from the great mystics of every age.  We strive to provide thought provoking homilies with themes that respect inclusiveness, justice and a spirituality that leads to greater health and wholeness.
