Beloved Disciple Community:

An oasis of peace in a busy world.

Rev. Theodore Feldmann, Pastor

We are a small faith community in the free catholic movement.

We come together:

to pray

to be silent

to listen

to sing

to engage our bodies and minds in ritual

to celebrate an ancient liturgy, updated to reflect our 21st century world and its concerns

to build community

Our liturgical life.

In a busy, often frantic world, we believe that our liturgy provides a spiritual oasis:

  • It is contemplative. There is time for meditation and silence.

  • We sing in a variety of styles from hymns and songs to Taize and Gregorian chants.

  • We hear readings from scripture as well as from the great mystics and prophets of every age.

  • We strive to provide thought provoking homilies with themes that respect inclusiveness, justice and a spirituality that leads to greater health and wholeness. There are also times when the entire community discusses the readings of the day.

  • We revere the deep roots of catholic tradition but are not afraid to look toward the future.

You are cordially invited to join us. For further information: 410-467-0443

Join us for mass on the first and third Sunday afternoon at 5:00 P.M.!

At this time, our community has chosen to meet twice a month, the first and third Sundays, at our private chapel, at 5:00pm Guests are most welcome!! Since we meet in a private home we do not publish the address on the internet, so please call for the address and location. We meet in Baltimore City.

Some masses are followed by a pot luck dinner and masses are also held at the homes of members of our community.

Masses are also held at other times of the week and are announced on our email list.

Anyone who is called to regular attendance in our community is asked to make a minimal level of commitment based on their circumstances and schedule.

You may become involved by simply setting up an appointment to meet Fr. Ted for discussion or by joining us at any mass.
